Flood Advisory issued August 21 at 7:39AM EDT until August 21 at 10:45AM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southwest Pennsylvania, including the
following county, Allegheny.
* WHEN...Until 1045 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 738 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
training thunderstorm activity. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5
and 0.7 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Mount Lebanon, Ross Township,
Monroeville, Shaler Township, Plum, West Mifflin, North Side
Pittsburgh, Baldwin, Upper St. Clair, Scott Township,
Wilkinsburg, Whitehall, Robinson Township, Munhall, North
Versailles, Brentwood, Swissvale and Dormont.
