Special Marine Warning issued August 26 at 12:30PM EDT until August 26 at 1:30PM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL

The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
Flagler Beach to Volusia-Brevard County Line 0-20 nm...

* Until 130 PM EDT.

* At 1229 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm producing waterspouts was
located near Daytona Beach Shores, or near South Daytona. The
severe thunderstorm was nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots.

SOURCE...Public.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can can quickly form and capsize boats,
damage vessels and create locally hazardous seas. Make
sure all on board are wearing life jackets. Expect wind
gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher waves,
lightning and heavy downpours. Make sure all on board are
wearing life jackets. Return to safe harbor if possible.

* Locations impacted include...
Daytona Beach Shores, Wilbur By The Sea, South Daytona, Allandale
and Holly Hill.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.
