Special Weather Statement issued September 2 at 8:34PM MDT by NWS Denver CO
At 829 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorms
over north to northwest Denver, moving southeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph, frequent lightning and brief
heavy rainfall, from 0.25 to 0.50 inches in less than 30
minuted.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Denver, Aurora, Lakewood, Thornton, Arvada, Westminster, Centennial,
Broomfield, Commerce City, Littleton, Northglenn, Brighton,
Englewood, Wheat Ridge, Greenwood Village, Federal Heights, Denver
International Airport, D.I.A Terminal and Concourses, Sheridan and
Arapahoe Park.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
