Flash Flood Warning issued September 29 at 5:57AM EDT until September 29 at 10:00AM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL
The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Central Volusia County in east central Florida...
* Until 1000 AM EDT.
* At 557 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
8 and 13 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts
of 4 to 6 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding
is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.
SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Daytona Beach, Port Orange, DeLand, New Smyrna Beach, South
Daytona, Lake Helen, Daytona Beach Shores, Daytona Beach Airport,
Daytona International Speedway, Ponce Inlet, Spruce Creek,
Samsula-Spruce Creek, Allandale, Harbor Oaks, Wilbur By The Sea,
New Smyrna Beach Airport, Glencoe and DeLand Southwest.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
