The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northeastern Volusia County in east central Florida...
* Until noon EDT.
* At 852 AM EDT, emergency management reported heavy rain and water
rescues in Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, and Ponce Inlet.
Between 10 and 14 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall
amounts of 3 to 5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash
flooding is already occurring.
This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Daytona Beach, New Smyrna
Beach, Ponce Inlet. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
flash flooding.

areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Creek, Allandale, Harbor Oaks, Wilbur By The Sea, New Smyrna Beach
Airport and Glencoe.
Move to higher ground now! This is an extremely dangerous and
life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are
fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
