Special Weather Statement issued November 23 at 8:57PM EST by NWS Melbourne FL
Surface observations and traffic cameras were showing areas of
fog, with localized visibilities as low as one half mile in spots
across portions of Volusia County. Motorists should use caution on
roadways this evening into the overnight and be alert for rapidly
changing visibilities, especially along Interstate 95 and further
westward across the county.
The fog will continue to create hazardous driving conditions
this evening and into the overnight. Drivers should prepare to
encounter rapid reductions in visibility from locally dense fog on
their evening commute. When driving in dense fog, reduce your
speed, use only your low beam headlights, and leave extra
following distance between your vehicle and the one in front of
you.
