Special Weather Statement issued November 24 at 12:59AM EST by NWS Melbourne FL
At 225 AM, surface observations, satellite imagery and traffic
cameras showed widespread low clouds and light mist across much
of east central Florida. Visibilities in most areas was between
3 and 5 miles, however, some locations were starting to drop below
1 mile. The fog is expected to persist through 8 or 9 AM this
morning, with visibilities below 1 mile having the potential to
increase in coverage.
Persons who will be out driving early Thanksgiving morning should
prepare to encounter rapid lowering of visibilities in fog. When
driving in dense fog, reduce your speed, use only your low beam
headlights, and leave extra following distance between your
vehicle and the one in front of you.
