Coastal Flood Advisory issued November 25 at 4:08AM EST until November 26 at 11:00AM EST by NWS Melbourne FL
* WHAT...Minor coastal flooding is possible Friday and Saturday
mornings due to high astronomical tides and onshore winds.
* WHERE...Coastal Volusia, Coastal Indian River, Coastal Saint
Lucie, Coastal Martin, Mainland Northern Brevard, Northern
Brevard Barrier Islands, Mainland Southern Brevard and
Southern Brevard Barrier Islands Counties.
* WHEN...From 7 AM this morning to 11 AM Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...Some flooding of low-lying lots, parks, and roadways
may occur near the shore line. Only isolated road closures are
expected. Minor beach erosion will also be possible, especially
in vulnerable areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The coastal flooding potential will be
the greatest during the morning high tide cycles from 8 to 10
AM this morning, and again from 9 to 11 AM Saturday morning.
Onshore winds and above normal tides will combine to generate
flooding of low areas along the shore. Do not drive around
barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary
actions to protect flood-prone property.
