Special Weather Statement issued December 22 at 12:53AM EST by NWS Melbourne FL
At 1245 AM, surface observations, satellite imagery, and traffic
cameras, showed patchy dense fog developing through east central
Florida early this morning. Fog was reducing visibility to one to
two miles, and locally dense fog causing reductions down to one
half to one quarter mile will be possible. Conditions are expected
to improve by 900 AM.
Motorists driving this morning should prepare to encounter
rapidly decreasing visibility in fog. When driving in dense fog,
reduce your speed, use only low beam headlights, and leave extra
following distance between your vehicle and the one in front of
you.
