Special Weather Statement issued December 29 at 10:32PM EST by NWS Melbourne FL
Surface observations and satellite imagery showed patchy dense
fog developing across portions of Volusia, Lake and Seminole
counties. Fog in spots will potentially reduce visibility to one
mile or less, and locally dense fog of a quarter to half of a mile
will remain possible overnight for these areas, including Orange
county and along the I-4 and Greenway corridors.
Motorists should prepare to encounter rapidly decreasing
visibility in fog. When driving in dense fog, reduce your speed,
use only low beam headlights, and leave extra following distance
between your vehicle and the one in front of you.
