Description
Special Weather Statement issued February 11 at 3:02AM EST by NWS Melbourne FL
At 300 AM, surface observations, traffic cameras and public
reports indicated that areas of fog had formed across Volusia
and Seminole Counties. Visibilities in many areas had dropped to
below one mile, and between 400 and 800 yards in some locations
such as Daytona Beach, Sanford, Deland and Deltona.
If you will be driving in these two counties, especially along
I-4, I-95 and U.S. Highways 17 and 92, prepare to low visibility
in dense fog. Reduce your speed, use your low beam headlights,
and leave extra distance between your vehicle and the one in front
of you.
The fog is expected to persist through around 6 AM, after which,
showers and increasing winds are expected to move into the area
and help dissipate the fog.
