Special Weather Statement issued February 22 at 5:30AM EST by NWS Melbourne FL
Satellite imagery and traffic cameras indicate that areas of fog
are developing across portions of interior east central Florida,
with patchy fog and low clouds moving into northern Volusia County.
Localized visibilities less than a half of a mile will be possible
in these areas.
If you will be driving in these counties, especially along
Florida's Turnpike, I-4, and I-95, prepare for rapidly changing
visibility due to locally dense fog. Reduce your speed, use your
low beam headlights, and leave extra distance between your vehicle
and the one in front of you.
The fog is expected to persist through around 8 to 9 AM and then
should quickly diminish into mid morning.
