Dense Fog Advisory issued February 25 at 2:39AM EST until February 25 at 9:00AM EST by NWS Melbourne FL
* WHAT...Visibility one to two miles in dense fog.
* WHERE...Inland Volusia, Coastal Volusia, Inland Northern
Brevard, Mainland Northern Brevard, Northern Brevard Barrier
Islands, Inland Southern Brevard, Mainland Southern Brevard
and Southern Brevard Barrier Islands Counties.
* WHEN...Until 9 AM this morning.
* IMPACTS...Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Surface observations, satellite imagery,
and traffic cameras show dense fog Has developed over southern
Volusia and northern Brevard Counties, especially near the
coast. Visibilities had dropped to one half mile or less in some
locations, and is expected to become more dense and more
widespread across these two counties. The fog is expected to
lift by 9 AM.
If you will be out driving in these two counties early this
morning, prepare to encounter rapid reductions in visibility due
to dense fog. When driving in dense fog, slow down, use your low
beam headlights, and leave plenty of driving distance between your
car and the one in front of you.
