Fire Weather Watch issued March 1 at 7:17PM EST until March 3 at 7:00PM EST by NWS Melbourne FL
The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a Fire
Weather Watch, in effect from Friday afternoon through Friday
evening.
* AFFECTED AREA...Inland Volusia, Northern Lake, Orange, Seminole,
Osceola, Okeechobee, Coastal Volusia, Southern Lake, Coastal
Indian River, Coastal Saint Lucie, Coastal Martin, Inland
Northern Brevard, Inland Indian River, Inland Saint Lucie,
Inland Martin, Mainland Northern Brevard, Northern Brevard
Barrier Islands, Inland Southern Brevard, Mainland Southern
Brevard and Southern Brevard Barrier Islands.
* TIMING...Noon Friday through 7 PM
* WINDS...Southwest 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 30 percent.
* TEMPERATURES...In the mid 80s.
* IMPACTS...Any new or existing fires will be capable of rapid
spread.
A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur with dry vegetation, gusty winds and low
humidity. Stay aware of later forecasts and possible Red Flag
Warnings.
