Special Marine Warning issued April 16 at 6:46PM EDT until April 16 at 7:45PM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL

The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
Flagler Beach to Volusia-Brevard County Line 0-20 nm...

* Until 745 PM EDT.

* At 646 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Port Orange,
moving east at 20 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher
waves, lightning and heavy downpours. Make sure all on
board are wearing life jackets. Return to safe harbor if
possible.

* Locations impacted include...
Ponce Inlet, Harbor Oaks, Wilbur By The Sea, Allandale and New
Smyrna Beach Airport.

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
Wind gusts 34 knots or greater, small hail, high waves, dangerous
lightning, and heavy rain are possible with this storm.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
