Marine Weather Statement issued May 17 at 5:37PM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL

The areas affected include...
Flagler Beach to Cape Canaveral 0-60 nm...

At 534 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from 25 nm east of Ormond-By-the-Sea
to 5 nm northeast of Playalinda Beach. Another strong storm was over
Ormond Beach. The storms were moving east at 10 to 15 knots.

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
