Description
Coastal Flood Advisory issued June 3 at 3:17AM EDT until June 6 at 2:00AM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL
* WHAT...Beach erosion, with the potential for dune breaching and
coastal inundation around the times of the next several high
tide cycles. Tides will run around 2 feet above normal high
water levels.
* WHERE...All central Florida Atlantic beaches, but especially
Volusia County, which remains particularly vulnerable due to
leftover coastal damage from hurricanes Ian and Nicole last
fall.
* WHEN...Around the times of high tide, starting this evening, and
continuing through late Monday evening.
* IMPACTS...Some flooding of low-lying lots, parks and roadways
may occur near the shoreline. Only isolated road closures are
expected.
A Coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
