Special Weather Statement issued June 17 at 9:26AM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL
At 926 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Salt Springs to Osteen. Movement was
northeast at 25 to 30 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Deltona, Daytona Beach, Port Orange, Ormond Beach and DeLand.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
