Flagler Beach to Volusia-Brevard County Line 0-20 nm...
At 122 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm,
capable of producing winds to around 33 knots. This thunderstorm was
located over Port Orange, moving east at 15 knots. In addition,
scattered to numerous showers and lightning storms will push off of
the Volusia coast through the afternoon. Many of these storms will
be strong.
Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 33 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass. A special marine warning may
eventually be required when these storms reach the nearshore waters.
Boaters should consider heading for shore before the storms arrive.
