Special Weather Statement issued July 10 at 1:20PM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL

At 119 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Pierson, moving east at 30 mph. Additional thunderstorms moving
through the area will also be capable of wind gusts to 40 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Daytona Beach, Port Orange, Ormond Beach, DeLand and South Daytona.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or hard-topped vehicle. Remember, when
thunder roars, go indoors!
