Special Weather Statement issued July 17 at 8:26PM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL

At 825 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Pittman to near Lake Helen to near Daytona
Beach Shores. Movement was southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Deltona, Daytona Beach, Port Orange, Sanford and Ormond Beach.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or hard-topped vehicle. Remember, when
thunder roars, go indoors!
