Special Marine Warning issued July 18 at 3:16PM EDT until July 18 at 4:15PM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL

For the following areas...
Flagler Beach to Volusia-Brevard County Line 0-20 nm...
Flagler Beach to Volusia-Brevard County Line 20-60 nm...

At 315 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
waterspouts was located over Ponce Inlet, just north of New Smyrna
Beach, moving east at 10 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can can quickly form and capsize boats, damage
vessels and create locally hazardous seas. Make sure all on
board are wearing life jackets. Expect wind gusts in excess
of 34 knots, suddenly higher waves, lightning and heavy
downpours. Make sure all on board are wearing life jackets.
Return to safe harbor if possible.

New Smyrna Beach Airport, Ponce Inlet, New Smyrna Beach, Harbor Oaks
and Wilbur By The Sea.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.
