Description
Flood Advisory issued August 16 at 4:09PM EDT until August 16 at 6:15PM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of east central Florida, including the following
county, Volusia.

* WHEN...Until 615 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 409 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Daytona Beach, Port Orange, Ormond Beach, New Smyrna Beach,
South Daytona, Holly Hill, Ormond-By-the-Sea, Daytona Beach
Shores, Daytona International Speedway, Daytona Beach
Airport, Ponce Inlet, Ormond Beach Airport, Spruce Creek,
Allandale, Wilbur By The Sea, Harbor Oaks, Samsula-Spruce
Creek, New Smyrna Beach Airport and Glencoe.
