Special Weather Statement issued August 29 at 6:13PM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL

At 612 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking squalls and scattered
strong lightning storms capable of producing briefly strong wind
gusts and heavy rain, moving north at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Funnel clouds and wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Squalls can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous waters. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs
and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Deltona, Daytona Beach, Port Orange, Sanford.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Conditions are favorable for the development of weak, brief funnel
clouds. These types of funnel clouds are harmless, but on rare
occasions they can briefly touch down, producing wind gusts over 50
mph. If a funnel cloud is spotted move indoors and report your
sighting to the National Weather Service.
