The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...

Volusia-Brevard County Line to Sebastian Inlet 0-20 nm...
Volusia-Brevard County Line to Sebastian Inlet 20-60 nm...

* Until 330 PM EDT.

* At 1225 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 7 nm west of
Titusville, moving east at 10 knots. Additional strong storms
capable of wind gusts in excess of 34 knots will continue to move
offshore into the coastal waters through mid afternoon.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.

IMPACT...Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher
waves, lightning and heavy downpours. Make sure all on
board are wearing life jackets. Return to safe harbor if
possible.

* Locations impacted include...
Playalinda Beach, Titusville, Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge,
Lagrange, and Titusville Airport.

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
Wind gusts 34 knots or greater, small hail, high waves, dangerous
lightning, and heavy rain are possible with these storms.

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
