Special Marine Warning issued September 26 at 6:53PM EDT until September 26 at 10:00PM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL

The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
Flagler Beach to Volusia-Brevard County Line 0-20 nm...
Flagler Beach to Volusia-Brevard County Line 20-60 nm...

* Until 1000 PM EDT.

* At 652 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Ormond-By-the-Sea to near Daytona Beach to 16
nm southwest of Port Orange, moving northeast at 10 to 15 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher
waves, lightning and heavy downpours. Make sure all on
board are wearing life jackets. Return to safe harbor if
possible.

* Locations impacted include...
Allandale, Ormond-By-the-Sea, Ormond Beach, Port Orange, and
Daytona Beach Shores.

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
