Special Weather Statement issued November 27 at 10:20PM EST by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 1018 PM EST, an area of heavy snow stretching from Hampton
Township through Vandergrift towards Indiana is moving east at 25
mph.
Winds in excess of 30 mph are possible with this area of heavy snow
along with reduced visibilities and quick accumulations on roadways.
Locations impacted include...
Penn Hills, Ross Township, McCandless Township, Indiana, Franklin
Park, Vandergrift, Homer City, Apollo, Shaler Township, Plum,
Murrysville, Hampton Township, New Kensington, Lower Burrell,
Harrison Township, O'hara Township, Bellevue, Wexford, West View, and
Oakmont.
This includes the following highways...
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 34 and 51.
Parkway North between mile markers 6 and 10.
Snow will lead to reduced visibilities and hazardous travel
conditions.
