Special Weather Statement issued December 26 at 5:40AM EST by NWS Melbourne FL
At 530 AM, surface observations and traffic cameras showed patchy
dense fog occurring across Volusia County that may also extend
into northern Lake County this morning. Any locally dense fog
will reduce visibilities to less than a mile through at least 8
AM, with fog gradually diminishing through this morning.
Drivers should prepare to encounter rapid visibility reductions
early this morning. When driving in fog, slow down, use only your
low beam headlights, and leave extra distance between your
vehicle and the one in front of you.
