Special Weather Statement issued January 1 at 7:55AM EST by NWS Melbourne FL
Surface observations, traffic cameras, and satellite imagery
show that patchy dense fog continues across coastal Volusia
County, Brevard County and Osceola County. Localized visibilities
of a half mile or less will be possible through 9 AM, with fog
then diminishing through the remainder of the morning.
Drivers should prepare to encounter rapid visibility reductions
this morning. When driving in fog, slow down, use only your low
beam headlights, and leave extra distance between your vehicle and
the one in front of you.
