Special Weather Statement issued February 17 at 9:58AM EST by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 958 AM EST, snow showers were located over Shanor-Northvue, or
near Butler, moving east at 25 mph.
Locations impacted include...
Penn Hills, McCandless Township, Monroeville, Cranberry, New Castle,
Greensburg, Hermitage, Sharon, Indiana, Butler, Oil City, Jeannette,
Latrobe, Grove City, Franklin, Punxsutawney, Clarion, Vandergrift,
Sharpsville, and Kittanning.
This includes the following highways...
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 1 and 57, and mile
marker 61 and near mile marker 100.
Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 77 and 138.
Interstate 80 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0 and 96.
Interstate 376 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0 and 27, and
near mile marker 84.
Snow will lead to reduced visibilities and hazardous travel
conditions.
Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra
time when traveling.
