At 711 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from 20 nm west of Daytona Beach to 13
nm southwest of Port Orange to 11 nm west of Maytown to 24 nm west of
Scottsmoor, moving east at 25 knots.
Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
