Special Weather Statement issued March 4 at 3:00PM EST by NWS Melbourne FL
Dense marine fog is occurring across the Volusia County and
northern Space Coast Atlantic waters. Some of this fog will impact
the barrier islands from Cape Canaveral northward this afternoon,
before winds veer onshore overnight and bring the fog farther
inland. Localized visibilities around a mile or less will be
possible along the coast through sunset. Use caution on the roads
through tonight.
Drivers should prepare to encounter rapid visibility reductions.
When driving in fog, slow down, use only low beam headlights, and
leave extra following distance between your vehicle and the one in
front of you.
