Special Marine Warning issued March 23 at 6:59PM EDT until March 23 at 7:30PM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL

For the following areas...
Flagler Beach to Volusia-Brevard County Line 0-20 nm...
Flagler Beach to Volusia-Brevard County Line 20-60 nm...

At 659 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts
was located 8 nm northeast of Daytona Beach Shores, or 9 nm northeast
of South Daytona. The severe thunderstorm was nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and large
hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can can quickly form and capsize boats, damage
vessels and create locally hazardous seas. Make sure all on
board are wearing life jackets. Expect wind gusts in excess
of 34 knots, suddenly higher waves, lightning and heavy
downpours. Make sure all on board are wearing life jackets.
Return to safe harbor if possible. Large hail could result
in injury and damage to boats.

Locations impacted include...
Daytona Beach Shores, Wilbur By The Sea, South Daytona, and Holly
Hill.

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
Wind gusts 34 knots or greater, large hail, high waves, dangerous
lightning, and heavy rain are possible with this storm.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.
