Description
Flood Advisory issued April 2 at 5:14PM EDT until April 2 at 7:15PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...northeastern Allegheny, northwestern Westmoreland and
southwestern Armstrong Counties in western Pennsylvania.
* WHEN...Until 715 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. River or stream flows are elevated.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 513 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain
has fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Penn Hills, Vandergrift, Apollo, Plum, Murrysville, New
Kensington, Lower Burrell, Harrison Township, O'hara
Township, Oakmont, Fox Chapel, Arnold, Tarentum, Natrona
Heights, Springdale, Brackenridge, Verona, Leechburg,
Cheswick and Russellton.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
