Monongahela River Near Elizabeth affecting Washington,
Westmoreland and Allegheny Counties.
Monongahela River Near Charleroi affecting Fayette, Washington
and Westmoreland Counties.
Youghiogheny River At Sutersville affecting Westmoreland and
Allegheny Counties.
Ohio River At Wellsburg affecting Jefferson OH and Brooke
Counties.
Ohio River At Dashields affecting Allegheny County.
Ohio River At East Liverpool affecting Jefferson OH, Columbiana,
Beaver and Hancock Counties.
Ohio River Near New Cumberland affecting Jefferson OH and Hancock
Counties.
Ohio River At Wellsville affecting Columbiana County.
Ohio River At Montgomery affecting Columbiana, Beaver and Hancock

Conemaugh River At Seward affecting Westmoreland and Indiana
Counties.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Ohio River at Pittsburgh.
* WHEN...Until late this evening.
* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Water begins to flow onto the Monongahela
Parking Wharf.
At 19.0 feet, Water begins to flow onto the North Shore riverwalk
between the stadiums.
At 19.5 feet, The Monongahela Parking Wharf is completely flooded.
At 20.0 feet, Water is up to one foot deep in the lower areas of
the North Shore Riverwalk.
At 22.0 feet, The Tenth Street Bypass floods.
At 22.5 feet, The fountain plaza is flooded.
At 24.0 feet, Water enters the outer pool of the fountain.
At 24.9 feet, Water entes the inner pool of the fountain.
At 25.0 feet, The Parkway Central (also known as the bathtub) is
closed by flooding. Lower North Side businesses are affected.
At 26.0 feet, State Correctional Institution Pittsburgh is impacted.
At 27.6 feet, The fountain in Point State Park is completely
submerged.
At 28.0 feet, Pumping operations begin on Neville Island. The Wood
Street T station facilities are impacted. Fort Pitt Boulevard is
closed.
At 29.0 feet, River Avenue on the North Side begins to flood.
At 30.0 feet, 200 manufacturing concerns and companies in
Pittsburgh are affected by flooding. Acrisure Stadium playing
field is flooded. Point state park is flooded to the Portal Bridge.

- At 3:30 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 28.1 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 18.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 3:30 AM EDT Thursday was 28.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise to 28.3 feet this morning. It
will then fall below flood stage late this afternoon to 19.2
feet tomorrow evening. It will rise to 19.5 feet Saturday
morning. It will then fall again and remain below flood
stage.
- Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
28.4 feet on 01/06/2005.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet
and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim,
or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters,
stop, turn around and go another way.
