Volusia-Brevard County Line to Sebastian Inlet 20-60 nm...
* Until 545 PM EDT.
* At 248 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 6 nm northeast of New Smyrna Beach to 8 nm west of
Edgewater to 14 nm southwest of Maytown, moving northeast at 55
knots.
HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher
waves, lightning and heavy downpours. Make sure all on
board are wearing life jackets. Return to safe harbor if
possible.
* Locations impacted include...
Turtle Mound, Bethune Beach, Edgewater, New Smyrna Beach, and
Eldora.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 300 PM EDT for east central
Florida...and the adjacent coastal waters.
Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.
