Flood Advisory issued April 11 at 4:48PM EDT until April 15 at 2:00PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
...The Flood Advisory continues for the following rivers in
Pennsylvania...
Ohio River At Pittsburgh affecting Allegheny County.
.A strong storm system is beginning to move into the Ohio River
Valley, spreading light to moderate rainfall over the region.
Runoff from this rain will be sufficient to cause the Ohio River at
the Point in Pittsburgh to rise above 18.0 feet and begin flooding
the Monongahela River Parking Wharf.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Ohio River at Pittsburgh.
* WHEN...Until early Monday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Water begins to flow onto the Monongahela
Parking Wharf.
At 19.0 feet, Water begins to flow onto the North Shore riverwalk
between the stadiums.
At 19.5 feet, The Monongahela Parking Wharf is completely flooded.
At 20.0 feet, Water is up to one foot deep in the lower areas of
the North Shore Riverwalk.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 4:30 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 16.6 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 18.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above 18 feet by
Friday afternoon, and continue to rise to a crest of 20.0
feet Saturday morning.
- Action stage is 18.0 feet.
- Flood stage is 25.0 feet.

If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around and find an
alternative route.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
