Special Weather Statement issued April 14 at 10:24PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA

At 1024 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 10 miles north of Hastings to Alliance.
Movement was southeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Ross Township, McCandless Township,
Monroeville, Cranberry, Moon Township, Indiana, Butler, Franklin
Park, Salem, East Liverpool, Aliquippa, Beaver Falls, Latrobe,
Columbiana, Monaca, Vandergrift, East Palestine, and Kittanning.

This includes the following highways...
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 1 and 57.
Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 61 and 96.
Parkway North between mile markers 1 and 13.
Interstate 376 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 20 and 59, and
between mile markers 79 and 84.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for
east central Ohio...western, southwestern and west central
Pennsylvania...and northern West Virginia.
