Flood Advisory issued May 18 at 2:43AM EDT until May 18 at 4:45AM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of east central Ohio, including the following
county, east central Jefferson OH, Pennsylvania, including the
following counties, Allegheny, southern Beaver and northwestern
Washington, and the northern panhandle of West Virginia, including
the following counties, Brooke and Hancock.
* WHEN...Until 445 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 242 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slow
moving thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen across portions
of the advisory area.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Mount Lebanon, Bethel Park, Ross
Township, McCandless Township, Monroeville, Cranberry, Moon
Township, McMurray, Weirton, McKeesport, Steubenville,
Franklin Park, Aliquippa, Shaler Township, Plum, West
Mifflin, North Side Pittsburgh and Baldwin.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
