Flood Advisory issued August 31 at 10:17PM EDT until September 1 at 12:15AM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Pennsylvania, including the
following counties, Allegheny, north central Washington and
northwestern Westmoreland.

* WHEN...Until 1215 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1017 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring in the
advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Mount Lebanon, Bethel Park, Ross
Township, McCandless Township, Monroeville, Moon Township,
Franklin Park, Shaler Township, Plum, West Mifflin, North
Side Pittsburgh, Baldwin, Upper St. Clair, Hampton Township,
Scott Township, Wilkinsburg, Whitehall and South Park
Township.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
