Special Weather Statement issued January 21 at 5:58PM EST by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 557 PM EST, snow showers were located along a line extending from
Seven Fields to 7 miles east of Weirton. Movement was east at 15 mph.
Locations impacted include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Mount Lebanon, Bethel Park, Ross Township,
McCandless Township, Cranberry, Moon Township, McMurray, Franklin
Park, Aliquippa, Canonsburg, Shaler Township, Plum, West Mifflin,
North Side Pittsburgh, Baldwin, Upper St. Clair, Hampton Township,
and Scott Township.
This includes the following highways...
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 27 and 53.
Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 47 and 81.
Parkway North between mile markers 1 and 13.
Interstate 376 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 47 and 81.
Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra
time when traveling for the evening commute.
